Growing a Bright, Safe and Just Future

Garden of Hope is dedicated to serving and empowering adults and children affected by domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and other forms of violence, as well as promoting family well-being and community justice.

Helping People Thrive

We inspire and mobilize our community to become advocates for change.

Garden of Hope's Education and Empowerment Programs equip and support underserved women, youth, and immigrant families to lead healthy, purposeful lives. We provide the knowledge, tools, encouragement, and resources people need to truly thrive.

  • Domestic violence, sexual assault, and abuse are topics that aren’t talked about enough in our communities. Sadly, the cultural and social stigmas around these issues allows harmful cycles of abuse and violence to silently perpetuate.

Garden of Hope brings these important issues to light through public awareness campaigns, community events, educational workshops, and prevention programs that reach the Chinese-speaking community in an approachable and culturally-relevant way.

Let’s stop the abuse before it begins!

  • We are passionate about strengthening our community through promoting healthy relationships and fostering a sense of purpose and belonging.

Garden of Hope has been a safe, inclusive, and supportive space for establishing purposeful connections between people for over a decade. We care for our community and encourage people to work together toward a better future through providing food and necessities, hosting meaningful holiday events, raising awareness on important community issues, and offering relevant workshops on a variety of practical topics.

We want every one to know that they are loved and valued.

  • The COVID-19 pandemic, rise in anti-Asian hate incidents, and economic struggles have taken a serious toll on the mental well-being of our community. In the midst of these challenging times, we are making mental health care accessible and approachable for underserved Chinese immigrants with our culturally informed and linguistically specific care.

Garden of Hope provides counseling and support to those who have experienced mental health crises, racially motivated hate incidents and harassment, financial hardships, and family crises.

  • Garden of Hope’s youth program is dedicated to serving and empowering the next generation. The Garden of Hope Youth Center provides a safe, inclusive, and enriching space where at-risk youth can get the support they need succeed.

We actively engage with the young people in our communities through mentorship and activities that promote mental wellness, healthy lifestyle choices, social-emotional growth, educational achievement, character and leadership development, and a positive outlook on life.

  • Garden of Hope’s Parenting Support Program serves families going through tough times and helps them navigate difficult relationships. We are able to effectively reach and connect with families in the Chinese immigrant community because we understand the immigrant experience and the Asian cultural values around family.

  • Garden of Hope uplifts women from underserved immigrant communities by providing the training, resources, guidance, and support they need to achieve economic independence and lead healthy and fulfilling lives. Our culturally-sensitive and women-centered programs equip and inspire the women we serve to overcome the obstacles they face and thrive.

Hope for the Hurting

We overcome cultural, language, and socioeconomic barriers to help people in crisis.

Garden of Hope’s Intervention and Healing Services provide linguistically and culturally responsive care to the underserved Chinese immigrant community. We offer hope and healing for survivors and our services are always free and confidential.

  • Garden of Hope's Domestic Violence Program serves Chinese immigrants who have suffered from intimate partner violence. We provide the compassionate support and resources survivors need to heal and rebuild their lives with hope.

  • Garden of Hope's Sexual Assault Program provides counseling and advocacy for Mandarin-speaking sexual assault survivors. We understand that the trauma for survivors is not only physical but there is also a significant mental and emotional toll. We recognize that the path to healing can be difficult due to shame, guilt, and cultural stigmas, so we are here to support, empower, and restore.

  • Garden of Hope's Human Trafficking Intervention Court Program cares for people of all ages who have been exposed to human trafficking or are at risk of being trafficked. We specialize in providing culturally competent services for Chinese-speaking immigrants and our program has helped hundreds of trafficking survivors reclaim their lives.

  • Garden of Hope cares for those impacted by the rise of anti-Asian hate incidents by providing counseling, legal aid, support groups, self-defense training, and public education. We also actively advocate for government policies and resources that support the AAPI community.

  • Garden of Hope’s Child Abuse & Neglect Program compassionately cares for children who have suffered from abuse and neglect. We also advocate for and protect at-risk children with public awareness, education, and prevention programs that support families in crisis.

We are committed to ensuring that the children in our community grow up safe, nurtured, and filled with hope.

  • Garden of Hope’s Elder Abuse Program helps members of our community who are over 60 years old and are survivors of physical abuse, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, psychological abuse, neglect, abandonment, or financial exploitation. We are committed to protecting the well-being and dignity of the elders in our community.

  • Garden of Hope supports youth who are experiencing bullying, cyberbullying, and other forms of digital abuse. We help young people and their families cope with the ordeal and advocate for themselves so they can move forward in a safe, healthy, and positive way.

We also proactively outreach to students and young people in the community by providing online safety education and anti-bullying strategies focused on promoting inclusion and kindness, conflict resolution skills, and social-emotional learning.
